Spring has sprung, but the upturn in the property market and traditional buoyancy that goes hand-and-hand with the September / October period will come a little later on this year. With a general election delivering the expected Winston Peters King / Queen maker role, there remains plenty of uncertainty until he decides which way to jump. Even then, there is a lot of conjecture over the shape of the outcome as the ideals of the centre right and left get muddled in the coalition negotiation process. As a result of this protracted process, we can expect winter’s slowed housing market to continue for a little longer yet!
